The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Archaeology Club is a newly ratified, student run club that plans and promotes archaeological activities for students. Our events include, but are not limited to, pottery reconstruction, guest speakers and presentations, social events, and trips to museums and exhibitions (e.g. MAYA - Secrets of the Ancient World at the AGO). A talk by Professor James Conolly Wednesday, January 16, 2013 Professor James Conolly will be coming to ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ to speak about archaeology in Ontario. Dr. Conolly is an anthropology professor and Canada Research Chair from trent University whose research ranges from early farming practices in the Near East and Europe to First Nations lithic technology in Ontario. The title of the presention is "The Land In-Between: Recent Archaeological Research in the Kawartha Lakes Region of Ontario." Talk by Dr. Sheelagh Frame

On Tuesday March 1 2011 Dr. Sheelagh Frame, an archaeozoologist working at Çatalhöyük and other archaeological sites, gave a talk to Queen’s students about analyzing faunal remains. The talk was held in Ellis 321 from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm.
Talk by Dr. Max Friensen

On Saturday, March 9th from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm we welcomed Dr. Max Friesen from the University of Toronto to present a lecture on his recent research. Dr. Friesen is a zooarchaeologist with research interests in Canada's arctic regions, including the Mackenzie River Delta and more recently near Cambridge Bay in Nunavut. His stated goal is "to reconstruct, and compare, the lifeways of the several very different peoples who have lived there over the past four millennia."
