Kaitlin McDonald
Administrative Coordinator

Centre for Teaching and Learning
As the Administrative Coordinator at Queen’s University’s Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL), Kaitlin plays a central role in the daily operations and long-term support of the department. Her responsibilities span finance, reception duties, overseeing CTL communications, and providing wide-ranging administrative support across the team.
Since joining the CTL in 2010 as a Secretary, she has grown into her current role as the needs of the CTL have changed. Over the years, she has become known as the department’s “jack of all trades,” handling everything from website updates, document formatting, to basic research, and troubleshooting.
In addition to her day-to-day duties, she contributes to a number of university-wide initiatives, including the Teaching and Learning Spaces Working Group, the Queen’s Teaching Award Directory, and serves as both the IT and HR representative for the CTL.
What motivates her most is being able to provide meaningful support to her colleagues and contribute to a positive, efficient work environment — something she finds especially rewarding thanks to the people she works with at the CTL.
