Bird-Friendly Campus Discussion Forum
5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
Join us on Monday, March 23rd from 5:30-7pm for an open discussion forum on how we can make ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ a bird-friendly campus!
Situated along a key ecological corridor for many local and migratory bird species, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ has a fundamental role to play in protecting our native bird populations, but bird collisions with windows are a major source of mortality in urban environments like Kingston.
Kingston is now making strides to become part of the national Bird Friendly City program by Nature Canada, and as a student-led group at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥, we want to make sure ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ can contribute to this amazing initiative!
For more information and to learn more about the Society for Conservation Biology Kingston Chapter's initiatives, please make sure to follow us on Instagram @scb_kingston or check out our (new!) website at https://scbkingston.ca/
This event is a part of Queen’s University’s participation in #SDGMonthCanada, a nation-wide commitment to mobilizing the SDGs across campuses.
Open to all ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥-affiliated audiences, this event is hybrid and free to attend. Registration is required.
