“Cho has been elevated straight to the big time.” - The New York Times
This remarkable South Korean pianist is rapidly embarking on a world-class career and considered one of the most distinctive artists of his generation. Seong-Jin Cho was brought to the world’s attention in fall 2015 when he won the coveted Gold Medal at the Chopin International Competition in Warsaw. He was chosen by Sir Simon Rattle to tour internationally with the Berlin Philharmonic, and is recording with Deutsche Grammophon. Seong-Jin’s thoughtful and poetic, assertive and tender, virtuosic and colorful playing can combine panache with purity. His recital is evocative of images, and he will conclude his program with Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.
