The Department of Geography and Planning is pleased to announce that Dr. Dave Gordon has been awarded the 2025-2026 Julian Szeicz Award for Teaching Excellence.
Named in honour of Julian Szeicz, a distinguished biogeographer and celebrated educator, this student nominated award recognizes instructors who demonstrate creativity, rigor, and dedication in the classroom.
Students praised Dr. Gordon as an engaging and highly knowledgeable educator who fosters an inclusive, participatory learning environment. They highlighted a strong commitment to student success, accessibility, and the ability to connect course material to both research and real-world field experience.
