Biography
Dr. Patricia Collins is a Professor in the Department of Geography and Planning, and is cross-appointed to the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies. She joined the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Queen’s in 2011, following a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Health, Aging and Society. Her research in the area of healthy communities has received funding from SSHRC, CIHR, PHAC, and Mitacs. Her projects typically examine the determinants of, inequities in, and threats to the liveability of neighbourhoods and cities. She teaches a variety of courses at Queen’s, including research methods, planning studio, healthy communities, and health geography.
