Although honored many times for his professional contributions and accomplishments, Doug's most enduring legacy consists of his inspirational approach to leadership and life. He was a source of optimism, encouragement and energy; a man of uncommon modesty; respectful and respected in turn. Doug Hargreaves believed that sport was a vital complement to the education of young people and cited many of his best athletes as some of the best academic students at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥. The Doug Hargreaves Memorial Athletic Award is designed to promote and support that connection for students at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ who are on the competition roster of a Gaels interuniversity athletic team.
