This fund helps keep Queen’s campus radio station, CFRC, on the air. It also gives students and local volunteers a chance to get behind the mic, gain hands-on experience working with broadcasting equipment, and be part of running the station.
CFRC has been on the air since 1922 and still broadcasts around the clock at 101.9 FM in Kingston and worldwide at cfrc.ca. Students and community members host shows, produce audio, and learn broadcasting and podcasting by doing. Gifts help support station resources from equipment and training to library maintenance and outreach.
