Opening Event at the McDonald Institute at Queen’s University on the evening of July 27th at 5:30 PM, for the unveiling of a new mural in Stirling Hall by artists Will Morin and Quinn Hopkins.

The 18’ mural spans the width of the main foyer and is presented as both a physical installation and an interactive, Augmented Reality experience. The piece explores the past, present and future of Anishinaabe knowledge and astroparticle physics research.

There will be a catered reception at 5:30 PM in the foyer area, followed by short talks from the artists at 6:15 PM. The event is open to the public, so feel free to extend this invitation to others who may be interested. 

¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ the artists:
Will Morin is of Ojibwa/Scottish and French-Canadian ancestry and is a member of the Michipicoten First Nation. He is an educator and a visual/performance artist living and working in Sudbury.

Quinn Hopkins (Mixed Ojibwe, non-status) is an interdisciplinary artist blending urban Indigenous experiences with digital futurism. His immersive installations and digital artworks explore ancestral storytelling, technological innovation and cultural resurgence.
