The current Observatory houses a 14-inch reflecting telescope in a dome on the roof of Ellis Hall, used primarily for student training and public demonstrations. The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Observatory is a non-profit facility run by the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Astronomy Research Group and the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Physics Department. It is staffed by graduate and undergraduate students in Astronomy. The ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Observatory and the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ Miller Museum of Geology have started a joint educational programme, The Earth &amp; The Stars!, which links to the science curricula for Grades 4, 6, and 9.
