Course Description

This course addresses the diverse and developing field of Gender and Politics in the discipline of political science. Topics may vary year to year, but it will typically cover topics such as feminist and queer theory, Indigenous feminisms, intersectionality, representation, gender from a global south perspective, gender and migration, gender identity, and gender and international relations.

The main purpose of the course is to prepare PhD students for the field exam in Gender and Politics. However, MA students will benefit from developing a sense of their scholarly identity in preparation for undertaking MRP research.
