The Science 1948 1/2 Mature Student Entrance Bursary was established by the class of Science 1948 1/2 on the occasion of their 50th reunion in 1998. Awarded by the Dean of Smith Engineering on the basis of financial need to a mature student entering the first year program in Smith Engineering. Applicants must have been out of a traditional system of education for at least three years and demonstrate the potential for academic success to the Dean of Smith Engineering. The bursary is renewable for three more years provided that a GPA of 2.0 is maintained and that financial need remains evident. Recipients of the bursary, who will be known as The Science 1948 1/2 Scholars, must be Canadian citizens.

The Science 68 Entrance Bursary was established in March 1997 and revised in October 2018 by the Class of Science 1968 and awarded on the basis of demonstrated financial need, academic excellence, creative and original thinking, proven leadership skills, and involvement in school or community activities to students entering first year of any first entry undergraduate degree program in Smith Engineering. The award is renewable for three years provided a minimum GPA of 3.5 is maintained in a full-time course load, and involvement in leadership and extra-curricular activities remains evident.

It’s hard to believe that we will celebrate our 55th Reunion in 2027! In recognition of this milestone and to help us create a lasting legacy for our class to provide support for current and future students, we have created the Science 1972 50th Reunion Award.

The Science 1972 50th Reunion Award established a renewable award for Smith Engineering students entering their first year, which will provide support for the entirety of their undergraduate education. The selection of award recipients will be based on financial need and academic achievement with preference will be given to Women and members of underserved or underrepresented groups.

The Science 1978 Student Initiatives Fund enables students to participate in crucial experiential learning opportunities that extend beyond their studies. As many of you may recall, you gain some of the most formative learning experiences during university through participation in clubs and teams. Class of '84 Reunion Registration	2 - 6 pm	Check in, pick up your football tickets, name tags and reunion pins. Visit with old friends and make some new ones.
Tour of the Beaty Water Research Centre	2 - 3 pm	Come see the latest and greatest in engineering research at ��ֱ��. The BWRC supports collaborative research in traditional water-related, non-traditional and emerging disciplines. The tour is open to all Class of '84 reunion participants. RSVP for this event when you register for the weekend.
Tour of the Innovation Lab	3 - 4 pm	The Ingenuity Lab supports research into Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Human-Machine Interaction in order to create future intelligent systems and robotic machines that enhance human productivity, safety, performance, and quality of life. The tour is open to all Class of '84 reunion participants. RSVP for this event when you register for the weekend.
Class of '84 All Faculty Celebration	7:30 pm - Close	Reconnect with 1984 classmates from Artsci, Sc, NSc and Com. Mix and mingle over a selection of light snacks, and drinks (cash bar). The cost of this event is $19.84 per person. Pay for this event when you register for the weekend.

Pre-game parade to the Stadium	Leaving from outside	1:20 - 2:30 pm	Join ��ֱ�� Bands as they parade through the University District and head to Richardson Stadium for the football game.
Football Game: ��ֱ�� vs Guelph		3 - 5:30 pm	Come out and cheer on the ��ֱ�� Gaels as they take on the Guelph Gryphons. We will be seated with our classmates. Tickets are $18.50 per person. Pay for your ticket when you register for the weekend.
Sc'84 Night at Clark		7 pm - Close	Meet up with the whole class and share some memories. Sci '84 and registered guests only until 10pm. Slide show and 1984 soundtrack are in the works! There is a max. capacity at Clark, so attendance will be capped. Your entry ticket purchase is limited to 1 Sci '84 alum + 1 guest. Cost per person is $19.84 each. Class Giving

One way of recognizing our reunion is by supporting the Sci’97 Bursary. Since we created the fund in our graduating year, 26 students have benefitted, with over $56,800 being dispersed. The bursary currently supports one student per year; our goal is to get the fund to over $100,000, so we can help two students each year.
