Queen's University mourns Isabel Bader

The Department of Art History & Art Conservation remembers Isabel Bader (LLD '07), who passed away on Sunday. Along with her late husband, Alfred Bader, Isabel was known for her generosity to the ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ community. Their Bader Collection -- a donation of over 500 artworks -- included four paintings by Rembrandt, and the Bader name graces the College at Herstmonceux Castle, and Kingston's waterfront Centre for the Performing Arts.

Art Conservation program founder appointed to the Order of Canada

Ian Hodkinson, founder of ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥'s Art Conservation program, has been . Alongside ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ alumna Moira Hutchinson (Arts'64, M.A.'68) and ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ supporter R. Jamie Anderson, Hodkinson was appointed as an Officer of the Order of Canada in recognition of "his pioneering and extensive contributions to the preservation and conservation of Canada's cultural heritage."
