Community Outreach
Kim Gall is Mi'kmaq, Lobster clan, from Membertou First Nation located on Unama'ki - Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia. Kim is the Indigenous Community Outreach Coordinator at Four Directions, and she is available to all prospective and incoming Indigenous ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ students to answer questions and concerns regarding:
- Programs offered at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ and their admission requirements
- Application requirements
- Navigating financial award applications
- Applying for funding through your band council
- Residence and housing
- Indigenous student supports and resources
Kim is available for email correspondence or one-on-one virtual appointments for prospective and incoming Indigenous students and those Indigenous community members looking into starting or continuing their post-secondary journey at ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥.
Kim also collaborates with community partners and organizations to develop Indigenous focused programming and services for prospective, incoming, and secondary school students. If you would like to discuss potential partnership opportunities, please reach out!

Indigenous Students Admission Pathway
We offer Indigenous candidates an additional and alternative pathway for admission to the first year of a full-time, first-entry undergraduate degree program, known as the Indigenous Admission Policy.

Indigenous Knowledges and Perspectives
Formerly known as 'Indigenous Studies,' Indigenous Knowledges and Perspectives gives students the opportunity to immerse themselves in Indigenous history and culture, to ensure that future leaders and policymakers have a solid foundation in the histories of First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples. Students expand their knowledge and understanding of Indigenous cultures, while developing professional skills such as innovative Indigenous approaches to learning and research, in order to work with Indigenous communities.
