The Principal's Teaching and Learning Awards focus on the university's strategic goals and the UN SDGs at the course level, as well as through individual and group efforts outside of specific courses.

The annual Principal’s Teaching and Learning Awards honour educators and staff who are advancing innovative and engaging approaches to learning for students.

This year’s nominations spanned faculties, departments, and teams from across Queen’s, reflecting a shared commitment to enriching the student learning experience.

An exceptional student learning experience is one of the university’s six strategic goals. Through new approaches to pedagogy, the thoughtful integration of technology, and the ongoing development of academic programs, educators at Queen’s are guiding students to thrive in their studies, careers, and contribute meaningfully to society.

“These awards celebrate the outstanding efforts of those who enhance and support student learning and success,” says Patrick Deane, Principal and Vice-Chancellor. “I extend my warmest congratulations to this year’s recipients and all nominees, whose work continues to respond to a changing world and helps create an exceptional and inclusive learning experience at Queen’s, shaped by connection and innovation. My thanks as well to the selection committee for their thoughtful contributions to this important process.”
