Dr. Nicole Myers has published a new article in Canadian Journal of Sociology titled, "The More Things Change, the More They Stay the Same: The Obdurate Nature of Pandemic Bail Practices."
PhD candidate Martine Rondeau has published a new article in Sociologie et sociétés titled, "La culture des cabinets d’avocats et la rétention des avocats et avocates." .
Dr. Victoria Sytsma has published a new article in Crime & Delinquency with Northeastern University's Dr. Eric Piza titled, "The Impact of Suspect Resistance, Informational Justice, and Interpersonal Justice on Time Until Police Use of Physical Force: A Survival Analysis."
We are excited to announce that Dr. Nicole Myers is a co-applicant in a collaborative group who has just received a 7 year, $2.5 Million SSHRC Partnership Grant: Intersecting Institutions of Criminal Justice and Injustice. The team is led by Dr. Sandra Bucerius (University of Alberta) and brings together police, court, corrections, community partners and scholars to examine how the criminal justice system reproduces marginalization, exclusion, and control. This is a significant step for Dr. Myers and crucial EDII focused research.
