2025 Annual Summer BBQ.
The annual Queen’s Staff and Faculty Summer BBQ will be held on Tuesday, June 2 at Agnes Benidickson Field (behind Grant Hall), from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hosted by the Office of the Principal, the event recognizes the great work being done by staff and faculty at Queen’s.
“Thank you, staff and faculty, for your commitment to ensuring that Queen’s remains a place of imagination, collaboration, and growth. The university’s success is owed to your dedication and hard work,” says Patrick Deane, Principal and Vice-Chancellor. “I hope everyone can join us at the BBQ for a chance to enjoy some of the afternoon together.”
A large tent will be set up in case of rain and accessibility mats will provide a smooth and stable surface. Hospitality Services will provide the meal and senior leaders will help serve the food.
As part of our commitment to sustainability and reducing waste, the BBQ will be a zero-waste event featuring compostable materials and multi-sort recycling and organics bins with available on-site. In collaboration with a local agency, Hospitality Services will distribute unserved food to those in need. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the.
A table representing eight Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) at ֱ will be at the event providing information about membership and upcoming opportunities. Those attending the BBQ are welcome to stop by and learn more about the ERGs.
