Partners of the Americas Foundation and the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs at the U.S. State Department, together with Global Affairs Canada and Amazon have launched a request for grant proposals. This grant competition offers up to $25,000 USD to nine grants for a sustainable partnership between higher education institutions (HEIs) in Canada, Mexico, and the United States to create and implement climate-focused, educational exchange and training programs. 

The International Association of Universities 2023 International Conference, hosted at Qatar University in Doha from November 25th to 27th, illuminated the transformative potential of higher education under the theme "Higher Education with Impact: The Importance of Intercultural Learning and Dialogue." 

Horizon Europe is the European Commission's (EC's) latest research and innovation framework program. With a budget of €95.5 billion over seven years (2021 to 2027), it is the largest research and innovation funding program in the world.

¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ is a member of the The Association of Commonwealth Universities. Open to academic and professional staff, these ACU Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network grants support the cost of organising projects that promote either of the two main strategic priorities of the Commonwealth Climate Resilience Network (CCRN):

To foster academic collaborations and explore opportunities in Southeast Asia, ¾ÅÐãÖ±²¥ sent a delegation comprising Vice-Provost, Global Engagement, Sandra den Otter, Faculty of Arts and Science Dean, Barbara Crow, Director of International Undergraduate Recruitment, Allison Yokom, and Director, Asia Region, Zhiyao Zhang. This team embarked on a mission spanning Southeast Asia, aimed at solidifying partnerships and advancing mutual educational prospects.

DDQIC joined Undergraduate Recruitment on visits to key recruitment markets in Spring 2023 to deliver Design Thinking workshops and micro-credentials to youth.

The Offices of the Vice-Principal (Research) and Vice-Provost, Global Engagement came together to extend a warm welcome to a distinguished delegation of campus presidents from Tecnologico Nacional de Mexico (TecNM). TecNM has campuses all around Mexico, and nine of their campuses were represented during the visit. The opportunity to host the incoming delegation was advanced through Queen’s connections with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service. The day-long engagement marked a pivotal moment for fostering international collaborations in research and academia.

Queen’s University and Pallium India have formalized their long-standing partnership to improve palliative care services in India through education, research, and policy initiatives.  

Sara-Maya Kaba (Global Development Studies Alum) is one of the nine 2023-2024 Pathy Fellowship recipients working with the Pathy Fellowship Foundation, in partnership with the Coady Institute, to found Aawaaz (اواز urdu: sound/voice).
