University, OPSEU Local 452 ratify collective agreement

The tentative collective agreement between Queen’s University and the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Local 452 is now in effect.

OPSEU Local 452 bargaining unit members voted to ratify the collective agreement on September 30, 2019 and the Human Resources Committee of the Queen’s Board of Trustees voted to ratify the collective agreement on October 17, 2019.

University and PSAC ratify tentative agreement to extend their collective agreement for Postdoctoral Fellows

Queen’s University and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) have successfully ratified a tentative agreement reached this summer to extend their collective agreement (for Postdoctoral Fellows (Unit 2).

The collective agreement has been extended for a three-year term and will be in effect until June 30, 2023. The agreement provides for annual salary increases of 1% and complies with the Protecting a Sustainable Public Sector for Future Generations Act, 2019.

Queen’s University and USW Local 2010, Unit 01 representing Academic Assistants Set Bargaining Dates

Queen’s University has scheduled bargaining dates with USW Local 2010, Unit 01, which represents Academic Assistants.

The parties will meet on April 12 and 13 and May 3, 5, 13 and 14, 2021.  The Collective Agreement between Queen’s University and USW Local 2010, Unit 01 expired on August 31, 2020.

The University values the contributions of its many employees and is committed to the collective bargaining process.

Queen’s University and USW Local 2010, Unit 01 representing Academic Assistants reach Tentative Agreement

The University and United Steelworkers (USW) Local 2010, Unit 01 reached a tentative collective agreement late in the evening on May 14, 2021.  The tentative collective agreement is subject to ratification by both the university and the bargaining unit.

The university and USW Local 2010, Unit 01 have been actively engaged in negotiations to renew their collective agreement since April 2021.

Details of the tentative collective agreement will remain confidential until both parties ratify the agreement.
