Queen’s and PSAC (Unit 2) continue Collective Agreement negotiations

Queen’s University and the Public Service Alliance of Canada Local 901 (Unit 2) (“PSAC”), representing postdoctoral fellows employed by the University, continue to meet in efforts to renew their Collective Agreement.

The parties’ negotiating teams are slated to meet this week on Tuesday, June 25 through Thursday, June 27, 2024. They have been in negotiations to renew the collective agreement since October 2023. The collective agreement expired on June 30, 2023.

Conciliation Update

As part of our ongoing collective bargaining process, conciliation meetings between the Queen’s University and QUFA negotiating teams continue.  Having completed three conciliation meetings earlier this month, our team is scheduled to again meet with QUFA’s team, and the provincially-appointed conciliator, commencing February 7th.  We remain committed to the collective bargaining process to reach a negotiated agreement, and to providing an exceptional educational environment for our students.
